Lee
Lee Roy Selmon blends the merits of football scholarship in his home with volunteering in the community. First family he is the youngest of the nine children of Lucious Selmon and Jessie raised on a farm at Eufala, Oklahoma. Two football. He is among three brothers who played for Oklahoma. Three of them made All-America. Lucious Jr. Dewey, Lee Roy, and Lucious Jr. Dewey started the 1973 season. Lee Roy is the winner of both Outland Awards as well as Lombardi Awards. He was the top lineman for across the country. He won two championships and 31-1-1 during his three years as Oklahoma's starter. Selmon was given a second scholarship in 1975, and was selected as a National Football Foundation Student-Athlete. Selmon holds a bachelor's degree in educational studies. Lee Roy spent ten hours a week on volunteer work in his college days. Following graduation, Lee Roy settled in Tampa and spent the next nine years playing for the Buccaneers. 3 times he was named All-Pro. He began his business career. In 1988, he began working as an Account Relation Manager in the First Florida Bank in Tampa. He was employed by the Special Olympics Easter Seals Baptist Church Ronald McDonald House United Negro College Fund South Florida Institute as well as the Black Life Hall of Fame Bowl Committee. He was no surprise that the year 1982 was when the Junior Chamber of Commerce named Lee Roy one of 10 young stars throughout the United States. Lee Roy weighed 256 lbs and was a tall of 6-2. When he was playing college, he commanded the team of 1975. In 1993, he joined at the University of South Fla's athletic department as the associate director. He was elected to the College Football Hall of Fame in 1988 the GTE Academic All-America Hall of Fame in 1994, and then the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1995. In 1989 the Oklahoma City Chapter National Football Foundation gave their Distinguished American Award, to Mr. Lucious Selmon and his wife. Henry Bellmon the Governor of Oklahoma was the person who presented the award.
