Harry Edward Styles (also known as Harry Styles in the music world) is a British composer and vocalist. Harry Styles was one of the founding members of One Direction. He was born in Holmes Chapel, Cheshire, England on February 1, 1994. He's the son of Des Styles and Anne Cox. Harry Styles attended the Holmes Chapel Comprehensive school. There together with three students, he created his own group of musicians, called White Eskimo. In 2009 they participated in the Battle of Bands where thanks to their excellent presentations they were winners. Although he has always expressed an interest in the music world, despite his passion for it he wanted also to pursue a career as a lawyer and physical therapist. Working part-time in a local bakery in his early occupation to earn money for the family. Harry Styles, in 2010 made an audition for The X Factor. His track Is not She Lovely was performed by Stevie Wonder. His group was compelled to disband due to this. Nicole Scherzinger proposed to Harry Styles that he join of a brand new group, One Direction. The other group members included Liam Payne Zayn Mallik Niall Horan Louis Tomlinson. The formation of the group began in 2010, and the five young people were sponsored by Simon Cowell. They sang the Kelly Clarkson song My Life Would Be Sucky without You and Bonnie Tyler's Total Eclipse of the Heart in the competition, which helped them become one of the leading contenders to win the contest. Despite this, they finished third in front of Rebecca Ferguson. Harry Styles, his group as well as Cowell did not get the win in the contest. However Cowell offered Harry Styles a 2 million pounds contract with Syco.
