Amber Benson, an American producer and singer, is also a writer. Her most famous role is acting as Tara Maclay from the TV Series Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Benson has also directed her films Chance, Lovers Liars & Lunatics and was the leading actress in those films. In addition, she appeared in the movie Kiss the Bride. Benson was the youngest child of Edward Benson and Diane Benson. Benson was born in Birmingham, Alabama on January 1977. Danielle Benson, the sister of her is a talented artist. Benson's father was Jewish as was her mother was Southern Baptist raised by Southern Baptist parents. Benson was raised in Alabama and went to a Reform congregation in Alabama. Benson has appeared involved in numerous TV and movie shows in the years since Buffy was over, most notably The Killing Jar. While behind the lens, Benson used her creative talents to develop the Ghosts of Albion television series. In 2010 she directed Drones.
